Ready to play a bit

Finished up several blocks today. You know how you just start and cannot stop. Got the blocks done today and now playing with them a bit. A few of the blocks are too light so will keep them for another quilt. So here is the progress…

First up is the hour glass block. Again used Bonnie Hunter’s tool. So pleased how they turned out.

Then up some larger HST blocks that combined look like flying geese.

Then the center block. I think it is a Sawtooth Star block.

This one got a bit small as these blocks all finish up 4 inches.

A simple block with some bright yellow green material.

Final block is called a preppy Plaid Block, I call it a modified log cabin block.

Now putting them together…not bad. I actually moved some around after this picture, will let it sit overnight and hopefully the cat will not mess it up. I plan on some borders to enlarge it a bit. Also going to turn the yellow blocks different directions. I plan on sewing it together tomorrow. Lots of different colors and use of guild material into a cute quilt.

Happy Quilting!

  1. That really turned out interesting! I’m wondering what made you put those particular blocks together. It’s a great use of your guild fabric.
